BISMARCK (AP) — North Dakota’s Health Department is holding a public hearing on the planned expansion of a landfill that takes oilfield waste.
Dishon Disposal operates the dump southwest of Williston. The company wants to add another eight acres to the landfill site and build a pond for water runoff.
The expanded dump would be used for disposing of wastes generated by oil production in the region.
The hearing is scheduled Tuesday at the Upper Missouri District Health Unit in Williston.
