Candidates here for two events

A meet and greet with local and state candidates is planned before a forum on Thursday. The meet and greet is from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Quality Inn and Suites banquet room.

At 6 p.m. the Jamestown College Student Media Center will host the sixth Jamestown College/Dakota Central Telecommunications Candidate Forum.

Candidates have been invited to participate in this moderated discussion about the issues leading up to the November general election. The forum is televised live on JCTV 16 on the DCT network, aired live on KJKR 88.1 FM, and streamed live to the Internet through AmericaOneSports. The community is welcome to meet the candidates during the forum in the lobby of Raugust Library in the heart of the Jamestown College campus.

Candidates attending the forum are Stutsman County Commission candidates Nellie Degen, Mark Klose, Dave Orr and David Schwartz; District 12 Senate candidates John Grabinger and Bernie Satrom; District 12 House candidates Jessica Haak, Ken Hall, Lyle Hanson and Alex Looysen; North Dakota Public Service Commission candidates Brad Crabtree and Joshya Voytek; Superintendent of Public Instruction candidates Kristen Baesler and Tracy Potter; State Treasurer candidates Ross Mushik and Kelly Schmidt; Southeast Judicial District candidates Brad Cruff and Richard Grosz; and North Dakota Governor candidates Roland Riemers, Paul Sorum and Ryan Taylor.
