DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — A 24-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting an 83-year-old woman in Dickinson appears headed to trial after rejecting a plea offer from prosecutors.
The Dickinson Press reports that trial is scheduled Nov. 14 for Nick Webster, who has pleaded not guilty to three felony charges: gross sexual imposition, burglary and interfering with an emergency telephone call. He could face up to 35 years in prison if convicted.
Authorities allege Webster entered the woman's house about 1 a.m. on March 10, touched her inappropriately and grabbed the phone away from her when she tried to call police.
