Walking taco fundraiser for the James River Humane Society, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Buffalo Mall. Cost is $5 and includes a drink.

Church Bazaar featuring about 10 area churches, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Buffalo Mall, Admission is free.

Ellendale Cub Scouts’ Halloween food drive at its Scare Crow Forest, 9648 90th St. (cemetery road). The Scouts built Halloween displays and are competing for prizes in a prairie maze setting. Admission: two canned goods or non-perishable items for Ellendale food bank. Refreshments available for a freewill donation.

Sunday, Oct. 28

Halloween Dance Recital by Top of the Stairs Dance Studio students, 5 p.m., the Arts Center. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and free for children preschool age or younger.
