Man dies in Oil Patch well fire

Authorities are awaiting the autopsy results of a New Mexico man who was killed in an oil well fire in western North Dakota.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Authorities are awaiting the autopsy results of a New Mexico man who was killed in an oil well fire in western North Dakota.

McKenzie County Sheriff Ron Rankin told the Bismarck Tribune that 60-year-old Jesus Castillo of Santa Fe, N.M., died Monday at an oil well site near Mandaree.

The sheriff said Castillo suffered burns while repairing a leak at the well.

No foul play was suspected.
