MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — A Minnesota State, Mankato, football coach facing child pornography counts is trying to get the charges dismissed.

Todd Hoffner’s attorney filed a request for dismissal in advance of a Wednesday hearing.

Hoffner was put on paid leave in August and charged with felonies after videos of his children were found on a university-issued cellphone. Prosecutors say the videos show the children dancing naked and touching themselves.

Attorney Jim Fleming says the videos are not child pornography.
