Heiser, Cumber place eighth in MWC event

The three-day tournament, held Oct. 18-20, was an invitational-only event based on accumulated points during the 2011 season.
Just 48 teams from across the Midwest were invited to compete.
Heiser, who is from West Fargo, and Cumber used precision casted crank baits to current breaks on wing dams and rock piles to land their walleyes.
Their 13-fish total weighed in at 37.49 pounds. The winning total was 18 fish for 43.99 pounds.
Heiser and Cumber have now qualified for the 2013 MWC Walleye Championship Oct. 17-19 at Bays de Noc at Escanaba, Mich.
