The Jimmies have had few off nights this season.
They had one Friday night, however.
Jamestown College dug a 2-0 hole with two shaky games and then dropped the third 27-25 to fall 3-0 to Black Hills State in Spearfish, S.D.
It’s the third time the Jimmies (23-7) have been swept this season.
The Jimmies hit an uncharacteristically low .069 percent and misfired 24 times on the attack.
The NCAA Division II Yellow Jackets, who improved to 11-16 with the win, took the opening two games 25-17 and 25-21.
Sarah Becker had 10 kills and Janna Johnson added nine. Kaia Buck led in assists with 16, while Katie Lee’s 17 digs were team-leading. Katie Zent had five blocks.
The Jimmies complete the road trip through western South Dakota tonight when they face South Dakota Mines in Rapid City. The Jimmies swept the Trojans at the Hansen Center Oct. 26.
