MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — An injured man who was dropped off at a Bismarck hospital late last month died over the weekend, and Mandan police say they are investigating the case as a homicide.
Authorities say two men brought 30-year-old Derek Oshkeshequoam, of Bismarck, to the hospital in a wheelchair on Oct. 28 and then left. Police believe he had been assaulted at a house party in Mandan. Deputy Chief Paul Leingang says an autopsy was planned Monday.
Police have identified the two men who brought Oshkeshequoam to the hospital as well as other witnesses and have interviewed a 23-year-old Bismarck man they say struck Oshkeshequoam the night of the party. No arrests have been made.
