Meeting set for Alzheimer’s

The second part of the three-part series, “Living with Alzheimer’s Disease: For People with the Disease,” is from 10:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the James River Senior and Community Center, 502 10th Ave. SE.
This program is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, tools and strategies needed to cope with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. It focuses on what individuals with the disease need to know, plan and do in order to live the best life possible in the midst of Alzheimer’s.
The last session is at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 5.
The classes will last about an hour and will allow time for informal sharing and discussion. The program is presented by Beth Olson, regional care consultant for the Alzheimer’s Association of Minnesota / North Dakota supported by funding through the North Dakota Department of Human Services, Aging Services Division.
