In a battle between Cardinals, Langdon proved to be the better bird on Thursday.
Game scores were 26-24, 21-25, 13-25, 25-18 and 15-11.
Langdon moves on to play the Region champion in the late game set for 8 p.m. Thursday at the Minot State University Dome.
Carrington bounced back from a narrow loss in the first game to win the next two including a commanding 12-point win the third game.
However, Langdon rallied, winning the next one and edging Carrington in game 5.
Madison Wendel had a team-high 14 kills while Kayla Hochhalter added 13. Breana Barton had eight kills and three blocks. Wendel and Barton each added two aces for Carrington.
Rolla, which knocked off defending champion Midkota in the first round, took third with a 25-20, 19-25, 25-20, 25-23 win over Benson County.
