The Jamestown Fire Department responded to a flare up at the scene where a fire leveled a home Friday night.

There were two flare ups Friday, one at around 3 p.m. and the other at 10:30 p.m. at 616 Second Ave. NW, according to Jim Reuther, fire department chief.

“You got all kinds of ashes piled up underneath,” he said of the scene. “That’s what it is — that’s where it comes from.”

About 25 firefighters responded last night and there were no injuries.
