Roaming Buffalo to meet Nov. 18
The Roaming Buffalo and camping club will meet at 3 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Parks and Recreation office with a potluck following the meeting.

Some of the activities done or coming up include: On Sept. 12 members did an “Adopt a Highway” cleanup of ditches on U.S. Hwy. 281, on Oct. 31, Larry Kukla, co-chair, led members Paul Byron, Dwight Herr, Ted Kapp, Leonard Willey and Ernest “Red” Willey, who brought mowers and mulched up the leaves at the marina campground. During November, members delivered meals on wheels each Saturday and Sunday. Jeanette Srozinski is chairing the ringing of the Salvation Army bells. This will be done by the club on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. Sign up at the meeting or call Srozinski. President Sherry McGuire, Cindy and Leonard Willey and Clara and Pat Willey will provide their campers to be in the Holiday Dazzle parade on Nov. 23. They may decorate after the Nov. 18 meeting. The Buffalos will be hosting the 2013 state-campvention. Members should bring ideas on location to the meeting. Dan Kapp is chairing the nomination committee as election of officers will be held at the meeting. Contact Kapp if interested in an office. Members are requested to bring food basket items to the meeting or money as this will be given to the Community Action and/or the Salvation Army.
The members’ prayers and thoughts are with the Dale Bayer family as he died on Sept. 18. He and his family had been longtime members. Also, James Selby of Bismarck died Oct. 20. He was the state director for Family Campers & RV’ers since 1997.
The annual Christmas party will be on Jan. 5 at the Knights of Columbus hall.
