RaeAnn Kracht, of the local food pantry, informed the group on her work in a nine-county area with programs such as school backpacks, sportsmen sharing program and offering foods to families. A Turkey Trot 5K will be held for the first time in Jamestown this Thanksgiving with all proceeds going to the food pantry. The food pantry is always looking for volunteers and donations.
During the month of December, the auxiliary will be sewing Christmas stockings for each newborn baby born at JRMC during the holiday season. The auxiliary is also preparing for the Tree of Love. The Tree of Love will be located in the main entrance of JRMC and will decorated with glass hearts that can be purchased in honor or memory of someone. The tree that is used was purchased in memory of longtime active volunteer Delores Boyle.
