“We are so excited that Arei has decided to join the Jimmie family,” Ulland said. “She possesses a great skill set, is very athletic, and can cause a lot of matchup problems. Her versatility is what we like, and she is a proven scorer with a wide variety of moves.”

Stokes is also an all-conference selection in volleyball and is active in FCCLA and marching band.

“As we got to know Arei, she is definitely going to be a great fit here at JC; she is someone who has a contagious personality that is just fun to be around, and probably the thing I liked most is how competitive she is,” Ulland said. “That was a trait that we saw in her right away and loved. We want players who want to get after it and compete and never settle.”

She is the daughter of Michael and Sheila Stokes and plans to major in exercise science at JC.
