Entrants still can sign up for parade
The Main Street Downtown Association is planning a meeting on Monday for its Holiday Dazzle Parade participants. The ninth annual parade is scheduled at 7 p.m. Friday. The association hopes it will be bigger than past parades. The association has contacted last year’s and former year’s participants to see if they will again participate in the parade but it also encourages new participants.

People from the area look forward to this holiday event and enjoy it, the association said. In reading over the comment sheets from previous years, parade goers want more and louder holiday music and extra lights.
A meeting for participants is between 5 and 6 p.m. Monday at Babb’s Coffee Shop. Participants will get their positions in the parade and any final instructions.
The entry fee is $25 for Main Street Downtown Association members and $35 for non-members. For those who want to have a float and can’t afford the entry fee, there are a few sponsors that don’t have floats to enter so they may be able to collaborate with them.
