Michigan wrestler signs with Jimmies

Patrica Martin of Traverse City, Mich., has signed with the Jamestown College women’s wrestling team.

Martin is a Body Bar champion, three-time state champion, and four-time All-American in both freestyle and folkstyle nationals. She is a four-year starter on the Traverse City St. Francis High School boys’ wrestling team and has more than 100 wins.

“I have known Trica Martin for about four years now and am very excited to have her commit to Jamestown College as our first recruit for 2013-14 school year,” DeAnda says. “Trica is the type of student-athlete who we are trying to build our wrestling program around.”

Martin is also active in cross country, dance team, volleyball, softball and National Honor Society.

She is the daughter of Ted and Theresa Martin and plans to major in biology/pre-veterinary at Jamestown College.
