Christian Senyoni will share his story of faith and hope in the midst of death and darkness at the 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. services Sunday, at Grace Episcopal Church, 405 Second Ave. NE.

Christian Senyoni will share his story of faith and hope in the midst of death and darkness at the 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. services Sunday, at Grace Episcopal Church, 405 Second Ave. NE.

Senyoni is originally from Kigali, Rwanda, in Central Africa. He and his wife, Josephine, are from the Hutu tribe. They were forced to flee their native homeland in the face of war, genocide and atrocities committed in Rwanda in the 1990s. He has earned a Licentiate in theology, as well as a master’s degree in missions from Wheaton College in Illinois. He is currently a senior at Nashotah House Theological Seminary, in Nashotah, Wis., where he is completing his preparations for ordination to the priesthood.

He and Josephine have three young children: Jean Pierre, Kevine and Jessie.
