JC announces new program hires
Jamestown College recently announced the hiring of staff in its developing Doctor of Physical Therapy program based in Fargo. The program will submit its Application for Accreditation Candidacy to the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education on March 1, 2013.
Jamestown College recently announced the hiring of staff in its developing Doctor of Physical Therapy program based in Fargo. The program will submit its Application for Accreditation Candidacy to the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education on March 1, 2013.
The following people have joined the program’s staff:
Program Director Dr. Nancy Nuzzo brings more than 20 years of graduate level teaching experience. She holds a doctorate in physiology from the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine and is a licensed physical therapist with experience in a variety of settings including home health, acute care and long-term acute care.
Phyllis Heyne-Lindholm has been named director of clinical education. She graduated from the Mayo Foundation School of Physical Therapy and earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and joins Jamestown College after a 30-year career with Medcenter One/Sanford Health, Bismarck. While with Medcenter One/Sanford Health she worked in a variety of settings including rural health, out-patient clinics, vertibular clinics, long term care consultation and as a clinical instructor.
Mary Lee Leikas, special projects coordinator, holds a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy and a master’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of North Dakota and before joining Jamestown College was a physical therapist in the Moorhead Public Schools for 23 years.
Administrative Assistant Wendy Breitbach was previously an administrative assistant at North Dakota State University, Fargo. She brings more than 15 years of experience working in higher education.
