Blue Jays get three on all-region team

Three Jamestown High School volleyball players were named to the all-West Region team, announced on Monday. Senior Siri Jystad and juniors McKayla Orr and Josie Hegerle were given the honor, which is voted on by the coaches.

Three Jamestown High School volleyball players were named to the all-West Region team, announced on Monday.

Senior Siri Jystad and juniors McKayla Orr and Josie Hegerle were given the honor, which is voted on by the coaches.

Hegerle was named first-team all-state and Jystad second team, which was announced at the Class A state tournament where the Blue Jays finished sixth on Saturday.

Josie Hegerle, Siri Jystad, McKayla Orr, all of Jamestown; Abby Grove, Ali Moody, Rachel Schroeder, all of Dickinson; Hannah Larson, Ashley Bohrer, Courtney Kessler, all of Century. Karli Sanders and Ashlee Hilzendeger of Bismarck; Alex Bolinski and Morgan Milbrath of Minot; Mary Roller, Bismarck St. Mary’s; JaeLyn Russell, Mandan.
