James River skaters earn 26 trophies

Ten skaters from the James River Figure Skating Club competed in the 21st annual Granite City Classic Figure Skating Competition in St. Cloud, Minn., November 9-10.

The competition hosted 310 skaters from 30 clubs in Minnesota and North Dakota.

JRFSC skaters competed in 30 events, capturing five-first place trophies, seven seconds, four thirds, and 10 fourths for a total of 26.

Competing in the event were Morgan Huber, Emily Suckow, Libbie Allen, Christina Radi, Chelsea Huber, Emma Bennett, Hannah Jorgenson, Cati Suckow, Teah Mielke and Karla Sherfy.

The team is coached by Mark Vasarhelyi.
