Four earn all-state for NR-S, L-L-M
The New Rockford-Sheyenne High School football team’s win over Divide County in the 9-man state championship game was the ultimate honor. The Rockets picked up a few individual awards to go with it. The New Rockford-Sheyenne High School football team’s win over Divide County in the 9-man state championship game was the ultimate honor.

NR-S had four starters named to the all-state team, announced Monday night. The team is voted on by coaches.
Leading the way was a repeat selection at linebacker in senior Josh Edmonson, who made the first team. Also making the first team was standout junior quarterback Ethan Haley, who made it as a defensive back.
Seniors Chance LaBrie and Alex Perleberg made the second team, though no positions are designated.
LaMoure-Litchville-Marion also had four players earn all-state, led by a repeat selection at running back in junior Brady Thielges. On the second team were seniors Logan Shockman and Jared Meiklejohn, and sophomore Anthony Olson.
The Loboes fell in the opening round of the 9-man playoffs, but gave eventual state champion NR-S its toughest game during its title run.
Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter had a trio of players with senior Andrew Beine again being selected. He was named to the first time on the offensive line. Senior Steven Weigel and junior Trent Fettig were named to the second team.
South Border senior Blake Bosch was also a repeat selection, making the first team as a running back.
The all-state awards for the remaining three classes will be announced this week.
