Event raises funds to fight cancer

Runnings’ Ladies Night raised more than $6,400 to help in the fight against breast cancer.

Thousands of customers took part in the event, which was hosted at 17 stores recently. A bag sale highlighted the evening, which invited customers to purchase a large pink shopping bag. Customers who purchased the bag received a discount on whatever items fit inside with a portion of the proceeds going to charity. Money raised will be used for support, education and treatment of breast cancer in each store’s local area.
