Fund for burned town surpasses $100,000
A relief fund set up to help residents of a southwestern North Dakota town devastated by a wildfire has surpassed $100,000.
BUCYRUS, N.D. (AP) — A relief fund set up to help residents of a southwestern North Dakota town devastated by a wildfire has surpassed $100,000.
Lemmon, S.D.-based Dakota Plains Federal Credit Union set up the fund after the Oct. 17 fire swept through Bucyrus. The blaze destroyed four homes in the town of 27 people. KXMB-TV reported that some families still are displaced.
