UND nips Notre Dame

Seventh-ranked North Dakota skated into Notre Dame for the first time in 31 years and skated off with a 2-1 win Friday over the sixth-ranked Fighting Irish.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Seventh-ranked North Dakota skated into Notre Dame for the first time in 31 years and skated off with a 2-1 win Friday over the sixth-ranked Fighting Irish.

Notre Dame outshot North Dakota 36-17, but goalie Clarke Saunders made 35 saves.
