The Jamestown Sun hands out these bravos this week:

* Bravo to all the volunteers who made the Community Thanksgiving Dinner happen again this year. The event has fed hundreds of people every year for more than two decades.

* Bravo to the Elks’ and Elkettes’ new club in southwest Jamestown.

* Bravo to Corne and Conny Van Bedaf of Carrington, N.D., who were presented the 2012 Commissioner’s Dairy Producers Award for Excellence Nov. 13 from state Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring.

* Bravo to the organizers and participants in this year’s Holiday Dazzle on Main Parade Friday evening.

* Bravo to Christian Heller, U.S. Naval Academy student and native of Beulah, N.D., who was named a Rhodes Scholar this week.

* Bravo to the addition of automated external defibrillators to several area emergency responders. A Homeland Security grant of $20,000 bought the AEDs for the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department, Jamestown Police Department, Jamestown Fire Department and Jamestown Regional Firefighter Rescue.
