Goplen named to fund board

Gary Goplen, senior vice president at Bank Forward, has been named to the board of directors of the North Dakota Development Fund, a program within the North Dakota Department of Commerce.

Gary Goplen, senior vice president at Bank Forward, has been named to the board of directors of the North Dakota Development Fund, a program within the North Dakota Department of Commerce.

Goplen is senior lender for Bank Forward’s east region. He has been employed by Bank Forward since 1993 and lives in Carrington, N.D.

“It’s a compliment to Gary’s professional skills and also to our organization,” Bank Forward President Tom Watson said. “We’re proud of his accomplishments and his commitment to economic development in the region.”

The North Dakota Development Fund was created in 1991 as an economic development tool. It provides flexible gap financing through debt and equity investments for new or expanding North Dakota primary sector businesses. Primary sector businesses create new wealth and are typically manufacturers, food processors and exported service companies.
