RSVP Dakota Store opens in mall

The RSVP Dakota Store is open at the Buffalo Mall in Jamestown. The store is located near the Sears entrance; hours of service are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays.

North Dakota food and gift items are the foundation of this seasonal enterprise. Shoppers will find many items made in North Dakota such as chokecherry jelly, bison sausage, apple horseradish, bread mixes, and several types of BBQ sauces, to name a few. The gift line includes handmade baskets, lotions and soaps, North Dakota photography, note cards and magnets, mugs, pottery and books. The items lining the shelves come from 56 Pride of Dakota companies with several more North Dakota companies planning to add even more products.

The RSVP Dakota Store is operated by volunteers and managed by the RSVP + program. Revenue from the store supports almost 600 volunteers in an eight-county area. These volunteers serve in their communities at non-profits, government agencies, schools and churches and fill a critical community need.
