Update: Authorities identify ND man killed in rollover Saturday

A 50-year-old Halliday, N.D., man died Saturday in a rollover crash, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.

A 50-year-old Halliday, N.D., man died Saturday in a rollover crash, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened at 5:10 p.m. Saturday five miles north of Halliday on Highway 8.

The patrol said Darrell Jacobs was northbound on the highway heading to a rural residence when the vehicle left the road, entered the east ditch, rolled and came to rest on its roof. Jacobs, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol said.

Damage to the car was severe, the patrol said.

The patrol is investigating the crash.
