SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Anders Lee scored twice and Sam Calabrese assisted on two goals to lead No. 6 Notre Dame to a 5-2 men’s college hockey win over No. 7 North Dakota on Saturday.

Lee, who scored his team’s only goal in Friday’s 2-1 loss, netted his first goal midway through the first period and his second midway through the second. Lee also assisted on a goal. He has eight goals on the season.

Kevin Lind and Jeff Costello also scored for the Fighting Irish (9-4-0), who outshot North Dakota 41-32. North Dakota goalie Zane Gothberg made 36 saves, including 18 in the second period.

Notre Dame led 3-1 heading into the third period.

“It was a frustrating game today,” North Dakota coach Dave Hakstol said. “We dug ourselves a hole. We did a lot in the last 25 to 30 minutes to dig out. We couldn’t finish.”

Costello scored in the third period and also scored an empty-net goal in the closing seconds.

Steven Summerhays made 30 saves for the Irish. He stopped 11 in each of the first and third periods.

“In the second half of the game, Summerhays was the difference,” Hakstol said.

UND (6-4-2) got goals from Mark MacMillan and Rocco Grimaldi.

Grimaldi’s goal pulled UND within 4-2 at 18:47 of the third period.
