The college did a lot of strategic planning before starting this endeavor for physical therapy education. She stated that 25 percent of the college’s majors are in science and nursing so there was a huge demand. One of their goals is to get the enrollment up to 1,200 full-time students. The college broke ground Oct. 4 in Fargo for the new facility. The program is expected to open in fall 2013.

Sandy Franke led the meeting with 21 members attending and also two Key Club members, Bri Carlsen and Mitchell Ova. Don Caine led the group singing accompanied by Sharon Caine. Norm Winkleman collected “Happy Dollars” for the Salvation Army.

Kiwanis members are to ring the bells for the Salvation Army on De. 8 and 21 and already rang them on Nov. 24.

Katie Ryan-Anderson will speak on the EliMiNate project update at the Dec. 3 noon luncheon meeting at the Lantern Room.
