Delores Spitzer

Delores Spitzer, 82, Carrington, ND, formerly of Jamestown, ND died Monday, November 26, 2012.

Delores Schlaht was born December 8, 1929 in Cleveland, ND, the daughter of Christ and Pauline (Lautt) Schlaht. She grew up and attended school in Cleveland, in her early years. They moved to Jamestown where she attended school and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1948. Upon completion of high school she was employed at the Stutsman County Courthouse as deputy recorder. On November 22, 1953 Delores married Clarence Spitzer in Jamestown. They moved to Kensal, ND where they farmed on the family homestead until 1965. They moved back to Jamestown.

Delores enjoyed listening to music. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown.

Delores is survived by her husband, Clarence, Carrington, ND; one daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Tod Hopkins, Sykeston, ND; and one granddaughter, Jana (Ron) Schimelfenig, Bowdon, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Harold and Wilbert Schlaht.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Friday, November 30, 2012 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastors Richard Biberdorf and Thomas Eckstein officiating.

Visitation: 3:00 to 6:00 PM, Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown
