North Star is ranked No. 1 in the first Class B basketball poll of the season.

The Bearcats got eight of the 10 first-place votes. Second-ranked Beulah got the other two top-place nods.

South Border of District 6 and Region is No. 8. Carrington (1-0) is No. 9 and Four Winds-Minnewaukan is 10th.

LaMoure-Litchville-Marion (2-0) received votes in the poll.
