Pederson is a Kiwanis member and a pastor at First United Methodist Church in Jamestown where he’s been serving for six years. The topic of his presentation was the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity that is coming up Jan. 18-25. This event urges Christian believers of all denominations to realize that they have a lot in common. In conjunction, First United Methodist Church is holding a series of sessions in January and February relating to this topic while studying Adam Hamilton’s book called “Christianity’s Family Tree.”
Sande Franke led the meeting attended by 24 members. Two high school Key Club guests, Kayla Wang and Maggie Erickson, attended. Don Caine led the group singing accompanied by Sharon Caine. DeLette Winkelman collected “Happy Dollars” for The Salvation Army.
Kiwanis member Jerry Roholm will chair the Dec. 10 noon luncheon Kiwanis meeting at the Lantern Room.
