Four Jimmies earn academic award
Four Jamestown College athletes have been named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes. Andrew Hammond from the Jimmie football team and Katie Zent, Katie Lee and Beth Segerholm were named from the volleyball team.
Four Jamestown College athletes have been named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes.
Andrew Hammond from the Jimmie football team and Katie Zent, Katie Lee and Beth Segerholm were named from the volleyball team.
Hammond, an all-conference defensive lineman for the Jimmies, is majoring in history and French.
Zent, a senior from Richardton, N.D., was named to the team for the third time.
Segerholm, a senior from Northwood, N.D., earned the award in track and field last spring. It was her third overall honor.
Lee is a senior from Fargo.
Zent will graduate in the winter with a degree in biology. Segerholm and Lee are nursing majors.
To qualify for the award student-athletes must be at least a junior academically and carry a GPA of 3.4 or higher.
