The Jamestown Public School Board will host an open mic night at 5:15 p.m. on Monday in the Thompson Community Room at the district office at Jamestown Public Schools.

“This is the people’s school and I’d like to hear from the people,” said Roy Musland, Jamestown Public School Board president. “I think great ideas come from the people.”

Musland said this event is an informal event where community members can speak their minds with positive suggestions for the district.

“I want to hear from the young, the old and everyone in between, and this will be more an informal agenda,” he said.

The event is open to the public and there is no need to sign up in advance. Cookies will also be served.
