DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) — The city of Devils Lake will develop a new industrial park northeast of the Lake Region grain elevator.
The Devils Lake Journal reported that the 131 acres of land will be purchased gradually over a 10-year period.
Greater Devils Lake Corporation executive director Chris Schilken said the land has rail access, something the city’s current industrial park lacks.
Schilken said rail access could be key in attracting new business to the area. He said before, there were businesses the organization couldn’t even talk to because of the rail access issue.
Schilken reported the agreement to the city commission at its Monday night meeting.
