Class B roundup: Bison notch first victory

The Barnes County North Bison picked up a nice road victory on Tuesday, beating Finley-Sharon-Hope-Page 69-60 in Class B boys basketball to start the season off in the win column.

Brad Clemens knocked down 19 points for the Bison, while teammates T.J. Steckler and Jacoby Kramlich contributed 15 and 14 points, respectively. Steckler hit three 3-pointers in the game.

Austen Archer had a big night for the Spartans, connecting for a game-high 24 points in the loss.

Turtle Lake-Mercer/McClusky’s Adam Peltier sank a pair of 3-pointers in the second period and hit two more treys in the third, finishing with a team-high 18 points to help the Trojans nip the Lions by two in Hazelton.

Linton-HMB built a slim 25-23 lead at the half behind 10 of Mason Ryckman’s 18 points, but Peltier came through from the Trojans in the third to help his team outscore the Lions 16-13 in the frame and they’d hold on from there.
