Barnick recital this Friday at JC
Jamestown College student Alexis Barnick, Jamestown, will present her senior voice recital at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, in Voorhees Chapel. The recital is free and open to the public.
Jamestown College student Alexis Barnick, Jamestown, will present her senior voice recital at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, in Voorhees Chapel. The recital is free and open to the public.
Barnick will perform a song from Handel’s Messiah; four songs from “Frauenliebe und Leben” by Robert Schumann; selections by Samuel Barber from the opera “Vanesa” and his book of Hermit songs; a set of French songs from Hahn, “Satie” and “Poulenc”; and selections from musical theater featuring a duet with Bob Heinzen. Reid Haagenson will accompany on guitar for songs from the famous lute composer John Dowland.
Barnick is a voice student of Richard Walentine. Jaime Namminga will accompany on piano.
Barnick is pursuing a major in music education at Jamestown College. She is active in Concert Choir and is a member of the Jimmie golf team.
