BISMARCK — In honor of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day today, Gov. Jack Dalrymple ordered state government agencies to fly the American and state flag at half-staff, and encouraged others throughout North Dakota to do the same.

More than 3,500 Americans were killed or wounded Dec. 7, 1941, when Japan launched a surprise attack on the naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, bringing the United States into World War II.
