Services pending for ND soldiers killed
Services for two North Dakota Army National Guardsmen killed in a roadside bomb attack in Afghanistan are pending, but Guard officials have named the funeral homes handling arrangements.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Services for two North Dakota Army National Guardsmen killed in a roadside bomb attack in Afghanistan are pending, but Guard officials have named the funeral homes handling arrangements.
Sgt. 1st Class Darren Linde of Devils Lake and Spc. Tyler Orgaard of Bismarck died Monday when an improvised explosive device struck their vehicle. The remains of both soldiers are at Dover Air Force Base.
Orgaard's funderal services will be conducted by Eastgate Funeral Service in Bismarck. Linde's services will be conducted by Fulkerson Funeral Home in Sidney, Mont.
Spc. Ian Charles Placek of Bismarck was wounded in the attack. He's being flown to Ft. Riley, Kan., for further medical treatment and evaluation.
