Pickrel elected to serve on board

Jay Pickrel, Jamestown, was elected to serve on the board of directors of the North Dakota Implement Dealers Association at the association’s 113th annual convention held recently in Bismarck. Pickrel is general manager of Jamestown Implement, a John Deere dealership in Jamestown.

Born in Tucson, Ariz., Pickrel attended Superior High School, and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He has experience in the heavy duty truck and truck stop industries, along with the wholesale gasoline and diesel fuel industry.

In 2000, Pickrel was recruited to join a John Deere dealership in Utah. He spent seven years managing a seven-store operation in Utah and southern Idaho. In 2007, Pickrel came to North Dakota to take the position of general manager at Jamestown Implement.

Pickrel and his wife, Lupe, reside in Jamestown. They have three children: Kayla Hansen, 23, Emma Pickrel, 13, and Whitney Pickrel, 10. Active in his community, Jay currently serves as the local ecclesiastical leader for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

The North Dakota Implement Dealers Association, headquartered in Fargo, is the statewide trade association for approximately 125 major line and shortline farm equipment dealers.
