Travel alert in ND lifted; S.D. closes portions of I-290 and I-90

Motorists should be aware that there may be some areas of scattered ice and snow conditions on state roadways. South Dakota officials closed Interstate 29 from Sioux Falls to Sisseton (both north and southbound lanes) and Interstate 90 between Chamberlain and Sioux Falls (both east and westbound lanes) at 1 p.m. today due to blizzard conditions. These segments of interstate will remain closed until conditions improve and crews are able to clear the roadway.
