FARGO — Fargo Davies saw what David Olson was capable of doing when they played against him last season at Grand Forks Central. But on Saturday, they got a first-hand glance at what he can do for them with the Eagles.

Olson — who transferred to Davies from Central over the summer — scored 23 points as the Eagles soared to a 92-58 victory over Jamestown in the North Dakota boys basketball season opener.

“It’s been good,” Olson said. “I’ve adjusted fast, and I think we played pretty good. We still got a lot of things to work on, like getting more defensive stops.”

Olson picked up 10 points in the first half before tacking on 13 more points in the second.

Andrew Kozlowski and Tanner Kretchman were explosive from the tip-off, as both scored double-digit points in the first half and finished with 17 points and 21 points, respectively.

The trio of Olson, Kozlowski and Kretchman took control of the Davies offense, combining for 61 of the Eagles’ 92 points. The three players combined to make 14 of 16 free throws.

Jamestown was led by Sean Lindberg and Brandon Wegner, who each had 11 points. McKade Kleinknecht added 10.

The Blue Jays’ first home game is Friday against Mandan.
