Zent cited for academic honor

Jamestown College volleyball player Katie Zent has been named to the Capital One All-America team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Zent, a senior from Richardton, N.D., had 341 kills, 287 digs and 115 blocks in helping the Jimmies to a school-record 27 wins. For her career she amassed 1,142 kills, 673 digs and 425 blocks.

Zent carries a 3.94 GPA and will graduate this month with a degree in biology. She plans to attend veterinary school in the future.

Student-athletes from NAIA, Canadian universities and 2-year institutions are eligible for the award.
