Flags at half-staff today for soldier
North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple has directed all state government agencies to fly the U.S. and state flags at half-staff in honor of a National Guard member who was killed earlier this month in Afghanistan.
BISMARCK (AP) — North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple has directed all state government agencies to fly the U.S. and state flags at half-staff in honor of a National Guard member who was killed earlier this month in Afghanistan.
Sgt. 1st Class Darren Linde was one of two North Dakota National Guard members killed in action on Dec. 3. Linde’s funeral is today in Sidney, Mont. The funeral for Spc. Tyler Orgaard will be Thursday in Bismarck.
Dalrymple is directing the flags to fly at half-staff from sunrise to sunset Today to honor Linde.
