Five JC football players honored
Jamestown College football players Jay Bachman of Walcott, N.D., Ryan Benke of Jamestown, Kyle Blumenshine of Riverton, Wyo., Jacob Erbes from Colfax, N.D. and Linton‘s Trent Roemmich have been named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete
Jamestown College football players Jay Bachman of Walcott, N.D., Ryan Benke of Jamestown, Kyle Blumenshine of Riverton, Wyo., Jacob Erbes from Colfax, N.D. and Linton‘s Trent Roemmich have been named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete
Blumenshine, a senior defensive back, earned the award for the third time. Erbes, a junior wide receiver was cited for the second straight season and Benke, a kicker, was also cited during the track season.
Roemmich, a junior academically and a wide receiver, and Bachman a tight end, earned the award for the first time.
In order to be nominated by an institution’s sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
