Kindergarten and third-grade students at Louis L’Amour Elementary School are selling homemade dog biscuits to raise funds for the James River Humane Society.

On Tuesday, students from Heather Tomlin-Rohr’s kindergarten and Lynnette Ryan’s third-grade class mixed up donated ingredients, rolled them out and cut them like sugar cookies, baking them at the school.

Plates of dog biscuits are available for $4 at the school and at local veterinary clinics — Dr. Dawn’s Pet Stop, Southwood Veterinary Clinic, Country Acres Veterinary Clinic and Prairie Veterinary Hospital.

All proceeds go to the James River Humane Society.
