Three juvenile escapees captured
Authorities have captured three of five boys who escaped from the Youth Correctional Center at Mandan after assaulting a correctional officer.
MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — Authorities have captured three of five boys who escaped from the Youth Correctional Center at Mandan after assaulting a correctional officer.
KFGO radio reported that the three boys were captured after they crashed a minivan in south Fargo.
Highway Patrol Sgt. Steve Fischer told The Bismarck Tribune that a vehicle stolen from the Mandan facility was found abandoned in Minot on Monday night. He said it belonged to the YCC officer who was attacked on Sunday. Fischer said the officer was not seriously hurt.
The whereabouts of the other two juveniles is unknown. They are considered violent and possibly armed.
