Flags to fly at half-staff for fallen ND soldier

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple has directed all state government agencies to fly the U.S. and state flags at half-staff in honor of a National Guard member who was killed earlier this month in Afghanistan.
Spc. Tyler Orgaard was one of two North Dakota National Guard members killed in action on Dec. 3. Orgaard's funeral is Thursday in Bismarck. The funeral for Sgt. 1st Class Darren was Tuesday in Sidney, Mont.
Dalrymple is directing the flags to fly at half-staff from sunrise to sunset Thursday to honor Orgaard.
